Crazy wishlist item: Sea Eagle

I'm a little crazy about sea adventure lately. Not very sure why. Oso looking at a cruise to Redang.

I once read on this blog, of a guy who is teaching English in Japan. He bought a Sea Eagle, and featured it on his blog the day it arrived. Subsequently, there was a blog of pictures he took when he took his sea eagle out to one of the really scenic and beautiful lakes/ rivers somewhere in countryside-Japan.

Ever since then, I wanted to get a Sea Eagle. I have mentioned this to my mom before. She obviously is/ was very fed up with me. Because she has had many experience of me buying white elephants. E.g. the piano, the bicycle. Both items are something the family suans me about. They were purchased, but now not in use. As for the bike, which is gift to self on one of my birthdays, it is now relegated to collecting dust, growing rust, and acting as wall ornament for public viewing. The piano, well, at least Sashimi is putting it to some use - heard a really nice Rhapsody by Rachmaninov last nite.

So, well, I can imagine why my mom would be fed up with me when I told her I wanted to buy a "boat". She must think I'm crazy. Especially given that we don't exactly stay beside a lake. Actually, I'm quite sure if I do get a Sea Eagle, I will never get past the stage of inflating the thing with the air pump. Thus, it's very likely, that would be the third white elephant credited to my name.
